The Brief

Focus Wales’ existing website had been in place for 13 years.  Industrial Standard Ltd. were tasked with improving the Design, UX and structure of the site with a view to improving the overall SEO.

To achieve this we actioned the following changes: –

  • Created a mobile friendly version of the site using the latest Bootstrap Framework
  • Installed Custom Google GA4 Tracking metrics to track ticket sales and key user events
  • Implemented WPML (WordPress MultiLingual) plugin to remove duplication of posts for each language
  • Improved User Experience (UX) by adding Breadcrumbs, a Scroll-spy, and clear call to actions
  • Removed 100s of files of unnecessary code
  • Reviewed and improved content, and added Meta Titles and Descriptions across the main website pages

RESULTS

  • Improved Google Lighthouse Performance Scores
  • 115% Increase in engagement time
  • 39.48% Increase in engaged sessions per user
